I’m a professional screenwriter and producer best known for my work on the HBO miniseries BAND OF BROTHERS and FROM THE EARTH TO THE MOON, for which I wrote multiple episodes, and won two Emmy and two Golden Globe Awards for helping to produce.

I’ve also sold four original drama series pitches (to NBC and Fox), and worked on the writing staff of two primetime drama series. I’ve written feature screenplays on assignment for Universal, HBO, TNT, and Playtone (Tom Hanks), and have been employed as a writer by Warner Bros., Sony Pictures, 20th Century-Fox, Imagine Entertainment, Jerry Bruckheimer, Jersey Films, Original Film (Neil Moritz) and Dutch Oven (Doug Liman).

I got my start as an assistant to Tom Hanks, who gave me the opportunity to help him write and produce FROM THE EARTH TO THE MOON, after reading some sitcom spec scripts I had written.

I’m currently represented by Creative Artists Agency.

My Current Writing Sample

This is a pilot I wrote on spec for a potential one-hour series. It never got sold, let alone produced, but has served me well as a calling card, and illustrates the kind of voice, tone and skill set for a certain kind of one-hour series that I tend to pitch these days…

I really got into this story. What a great conflicted character Mitch is. Too bad it wasn’t picked up, but what a great sample work.
