Work One-on-One to Develop Your Story

Build a stronger, more compelling screenplay

with Emmy-winning writer Erik Bork (Band of Brothers)

Coaching gives you ongoing, professional story guidance as your project develops—so you’re not making major decisions in isolation.

This is a collaborative development process that can begin at the concept stage or during rewrite planning, and continue through story structure, outlining and screenplay or pilot drafts.

We begin with the foundation of your story – whether you’re starting from a new idea or reworking an existing script.

Phase 1: Story Development

$1,500

Strengthen the Core Idea

We start with a one-page overview of your project in its current form.

  • 3 one-on-one sessions
  • We define what the story is fundamentally about – and what it needs to work
  • We identify the key structural and conceptual problems holding it back
  • We reshape the idea where needed to create a stronger story foundation

Build the Story Structure

We turn that core idea into a clear, workable story structure you can confidently outline.

  • 3 additional sessions
  • We shape acts, beats, character arcs, and major story movements
  • We build out the story into a clear 4-page overview
  • We refine the underlying logic of the story so it can be confidently outlined

By the end of this process, you’ll have a clear, structured story to move confidently into outlining and drafting.

Phase 2: Outline Development

Coaching continues through breaking the story into a detailed, scene-by-scene outline, refining structure, character arcs, and story logic across multiple passes.

We move through three complete outline drafts, shaping and testing the story until the structure is clear, cohesive, and ready for execution.

Phase 3: Script Development

From there, the process concludes with script drafts of screenplay or pilot, with ongoing notes, revisions, and coaching sessions.

We work through three complete script drafts, focusing on scene execution, dialogue, pacing, and bringing the story to life on the page.

The full process can be done step-by-step, or as a complete development path at a reduced rate. Use right and left arrows below to access TV vs. film pricing.

What Writers Say About Working Together

We’ve worked on three TV pilot projects from start to finish. With each project, Erik guided me through the idea, the outlining process, all the way to script drafts and rewrites. When I started with Erik, I only had a vague notion of what “makes” a good TV pilot. He helped me understand that what’s needed to make a pilot work…

I spent a lot of money talking to Erik – about the same that it would have cost me to go back to graduate school and get a masters in screenwriting. Working with Erik was the better choice, because there is no substitute for one on one mentoring with a master of the craft. It was worth every penny.

What I lacked before working with Erik Bork was a gifted insider’s mentoring to help transform my story into the medium of film. My script has since been highlighted by a major screenplay coverage library, was a finalist and semi-finalist in big-time contests, and has garnered real interest by several producers.
