I’ll be returning to my home state during election week (apparently the most important one in the union that week!) to do a six-hour presentation on my screenwriting career and the key things I’ve learned along the way, for my friends at the Greater Cleveland Film Commission (run by my old friend and colleague from Band of Brothers and From the Earth to the Moon Ivan Schwarz).
It’s from 9 to 3 on Saturday November 10…
Oh, Erik, I wish I could be there! I’m sure that will be edifying and amazing for all who can attend! I could listen to you talk – and share all your amazing experiences – for a weekend, for sure! And go away humbled, empowered and inspired!
I’ll share it with my Facebook friends and Twitter followers in case there are any in the Ohio area! HAVE FUN! (You always do!) 😉
So, Erik, are you going to become the next Robert McKee? This sounds like a stripped-down version of one of his Story seminars. Does Cleveland have a film festival that this is part of? It seems like they are everywhere now. My hometown, Nashville, has a good-sized one. Good luck with it.
Thanks Louis! McKee is a legend; his book STORY is very inspiring and helpful.
I don’t think this is affiliated with the Film Fest, but Cleveland does have one. I know because I once had a college short that was in it (the only festival it made, I believe)…
